Job Summary
The Benton County Information Technology Department is seeking a Network Administrator to join the team.
PLEASE NOTE: This is a limited-duration, benefited, full-time position currently funded through June 30, 2025. This position may be extended beyond this date and/or may become regular status depending on funding and budget approval.
JOB SUMMARY
This position will support County business processes and technology infrastructure by providing administration and engineering of the Local Area Network, Wide Area Network, Wireless Networks, Telephone and the associated systems and security environment.

UNDERFILL and LOWER LEVEL OPTION:
The goal is to fill this position as a Network Administrator 2. However, applicants who can meet the minimum qualifications for the Network Administrator 2 within one year of on-the-job training are encouraged to apply as "underfill" candidates. Employees hired into the Network Administrator 2 level position as an underfill will be hired as a Network Administrator 1 and then re-classified to the Network Administrator 2 upon passing trial service and meeting the minimum qualifications for that classification. Applicants who do not meet the requirements for the underfill option may be considered for the lower level option of Network Administrator 1.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
The following minimum qualifications are required for this position:
Network Administrator 2
Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in computer science, computer information systems, or other IT related field of study ; AND
3 years of professional work experience in computer science, network administration, or other IT related field
Network Administrator 1
Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in computer science, computer information systems, or other IT related field of study ; AND
1 year of professional work experience in computer science, network administration, or other IT related field
An equivalent combination of education and experience may be accepted. Please note candidates must have at least 6 months of actual work experience to be considered as equivalent.
Special Requirements
Hiring is contingent upon the successful completion of a background check.
Valid Oregon driver's license. This position requires driving and may require use of a personal vehicle.

NAC/ACL management

Network Administrator 2: $65,119 - $87,872
