Key Responsibilities: Financial Reporting: Prepare and present financial statements to the VP of Finance and executive team. Analyze financial performance and provide recommendations. Budgeting and Forecasting: Lead the budgeting process and ongoing forecasting efforts. Monitor variances and communicate financial performance. Accounting Operations: Manage daily accounting operations, including accounts payable, receivable, payroll, and general ledger functions. Ensure accurate and timely financial transactions. Project Financial Management: Track project budgets, costs, and profitability for multifamily developments. Analyze financial data to identify trends and opportunities. Compliance and Audit: Ensure compliance with regulations and assist with audits. Financial Controls: Develop and implement financial policies and procedures. Conduct regular reviews of financial processes. Team Leadership: Supervise and mentor accounting staff. Foster a collaborative work environment. Strategic Support: Provide financial analysis and insights for strategic decision-making and long-term planning. Participate in management meetings. Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA preferred. Strong knowledge of construction accounting principles and software (e.g., ERP System, NetSuite, QuickBooks, Sage). 5 years of experience as a Controller or similar role in the construction industry, focusing on multifamily. Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial reporting tools.
