DescriptionRobert Half Finance is searching for a candidate to fill the position of an Accounting Clerk for an admired, well-known organization. As an Accounting Clerk, you will perform duties such as, matching invoices to purchase orders and/or vouchers, data entry and assisting in the process of Accounts Payable (A/P) and Accounts Receivable (A/R). • Support accounts payable: vendor invoices and disbursement filing, A/P invoice matching & filing
• Code documents that require knowledge in determining proper classification of expenditure codes and accounting codes
• Reconcile discrepancies by checking all possible sources of disagreement, reconstructing probable actions, and recognizing the effect on other accounts; prepare correction documents as required
• Post financial information to journals and ledgers
• Create statements and reports that require the use of a number of sources
• Assist with other related duties and special projects as assigned
• Perform general accounting tasks, such as G/L account reconciliation and month-end closing, and other ad hoc projects
• Handle Accounts Receivable tasks: process daily invoices/credit, apply cash receipt, and help with collection of past due balanceIf interested, e-mail resume to jennie.joiner@roberthalf.comRequirements
  • Solid understanding of Accounts Payable (AP)
  • Experience with Cash Activity
  • Proficiency in Cash Deposits
  • Enter Invoices experience
  • Cash Collections experience
  • Ability to multitask and communicate effectively with individuals of all backgrounds
  • AA or BS/BA in Accounting or related field preferred
  • Spreadsheet and ERP system experience suggested
