This position will be performing a variety of complex administrative and clerical duties requiring knowledge of departmental policies and regulations and the exercise of judgment in receiving, processing, recording, and distributing confidential information. Maintains records of financial transactions; prepares and processes fees and billings within an established system; performs cost accounting operations. Develops and maintains Excel spreadsheets that include creating formulas to track and calculate data for statistical analysis. Essential Duties Data Processing and Interpretation. Customer Service. Will be able to travel to attend statewide meetings approximately 5 or 6 times a year. Have the ability to convey information, ideas, and facts both orally and in writing to supervisors, colleagues, and individuals, inside and outside the county, using language and a format the audience will best understand. Have the ability to interpret and understand confidentiality regulations and laws, including but not limited to HIPAA, Oregon Administrative Rules and Oregon Revised Statutes; relay appropriate information to citizens, offenders, community partners, and the public. Have the ability to use critical thinking, analytical skills, and a solution-focused approach to ress challenging or difficult situations. Must be able to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing. Effectively relates well with others, including supervisors, colleagues, and individuals inside and outside the county.Exhibit a professional manner in dealing with others and working to maintain constructive working relationships. Takes personal responsibility for the quality and timeliness of work.Show up to work on time, and follows instructions, policies, and procedures.Meet productivity standards, deadlines, and work schedules. The following minimum qualifications are required for this position: High School Diploma or GED. 4 years secretarial experience, including word processing, clerical functions or related experience. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be accepted. Special Requirements: Law Enforcement Data System (LEDS) certification must be obtained within 60 days of hire. CPR/First Aid must be obtained within 60 days of hire. Notary Public certifications must be obtained within 60 days of hire. Total Compensation Annual salary of $37,192 - $45,556; Depending on qualifications and experience. A choice of a premium paid Consumer Driven Health Plan with health savings or HRA VEBA account (County contribution) or a PPO plan with an optional flexible spending account. Dental plan with 2 plans to choose from. Vision with no extra cost if under our Health Plan. Group Life and AD & D insurance plans. Long Term Disability. This position requires driving and may require use of a personal vehicle. This recruitment may be used to establish a pool of qualified candidates for future vacancies. Positions in this class typically require: reaching, standing, walking, grasping, feeling, talking, hearing, seeing and repetitive motions. Sedentary Work: Exerting up to 20 pounds of force occasionally and/or a negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects, including the human body. Ability to operate office equipment and a motor vehicle. Hours: Generally works Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Work Location: Office environment with exposure to high-risk criminal offenders. Must travel (overnight stays) to statewide meetings and trainings several times per year. Health and Safety Conditions: Exposure to biohazardous materials, unsanitary offenders, hostile offenders, and communicable diseases.
