Job Description:
Volt is immediately hiring a Assembler III in Portland, OR As a
Assembler III, you will: Uses an optical microscope to perform
visual inspections for extended periods of time. Performs visual
inspections with the unaided eye (corrected vision is acceptable)
from a distance of 12-18 inches. Performs functions utilizing
manual equipment requiring correctable vision, including color
discrimination. Performs dimensional inspections with rulers and
basic measurement equipment using inspection instruction
documentation. Determines disposition of rejects using inspection
instruction documentation. Works with production equipment,
including small hand tools, test equipment, and precision measuring
instruments. Performs fine motor skills and manual dexterity with
both hands (example: holding and using cutters, using tweezers,
picking up small parts). Organizes and records dimensional data on
paper-based forms. Works in a low-particle environment and complies
with cleanroom / controlled environment entry, gowning, and room
requirements (gown, hairnet, beard cover, non-Latex gloves, no
makeup, no candy/gum, etc…). Works in an environment with minor
exposure to isopropyl alcohol chemical. Multitasks, prioritizes,
and meets deadlines in a timely manner. Possesses strong
organizational and follow-up skills, as well as attention to
detail. The ideal candidate will have: Minimum 5 years of medical
device or related assembly/inspection experience. Experience in the
assembly and/or quality inspection of Class III implantable medical
devices, Class II medical devices, or micro-electronics. Prior
experience working in an an air-conditioned, cleanroom
manufacturing environment. Education: High School Diploma/GED is
required. Schedule: Rotating Shift : 2:30 PM to 1:00 AM This is a
Full-time, Contract opportunity. Pay Rate: $20 - $23.50/hr *Pay
range offered to a successful candidate will be based on several
factors, including the candidate's education, work experience, work
