The company and its employees strive each day to live by the company's value statement: "build the team, grow the company, have fun, love and serve others."As a member of the Oregon State Athletics Ideation Team, the Assistant Director of Ideation / Social Media will serve as the primary day-to-day operator of multiple athletic social media accounts. The role includes primary responsibility for the operation of the primary athletics accounts, as well as at least one team's revenue generating sport accounts. With the support of the Ideation staff, and under the supervision of the Director of Ideation, the successful candidate will work collaboratively with members of key internal and external constituents to reach the goals set out in the Oregon State Athletics Strategic Plan using social platforms.Duties* Reports to the Director of Ideation to collaborate strategies and tactics to advance the goals of Beaver Athletics using social platforms* Operate athletic department primary social media accounts with the goals of increased engagement and following, promotion of important athletics initiatives and revenue generation* Operate social media accounts for at least one revenue generating sport, in partnership with members of the team staff and other external staff members* Monitor emerging trends and platforms, and make recommendations for adoption* Collaborate with Ideation staff to generate content ideas* Create graphics, motion graphics, videos, photography and other multimedia content for use on social platforms* Develop strategies and tactics, and create content to assist in the growth of following and brand value of individual student-athletes* Compile data and make decisions based on both analytics and instincts* Supervise and provide constructive leadership for social media interns, leading meetings, delegating tasks, setting deadlines, managing workflow, and providing support and development* Proactively interacts, engages and communicates with fans via social platforms* Builds and maintains a daily/weekly/monthly social media calendar for both organic and branded content* Effectively communicate with teams, coaches, players, recruits, families, and guests as requiredMinimum Requirements* Commitment to diversity and Oregon State University's vision of inclusive excellence in all that it does* Bachelor's degree in communications, marketing, business or related field* 1 year full time experience or two years part time experience* Demonstrate a proficient understanding of how all social platforms (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, TikTok, YouTube and Snapchat) and their communities work, including emerging platforms* Ability to make decision aligned with university and department core values in high pressure situations* Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously* Demonstrated experience creating content for multiple social platforms with a clear understanding for what works best on specific social media channels* Strong written communication skills, including the ability to write in different tones* Prefer previous experience in sports industry and ideally in college athleticsAll qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, protected veteran status, or disability status.Learfield IMG College is an Equal Opportunity Employer: Female / Minority / Disability / Protected Veteran / Sexual Orientation / Gender Identity#35601183
