Position Overview

We are looking for an energetic and experienced Business Planning Manager to lead our Operations Supply and Demand Planning team for PageWide Web Press. As part of the Operations organization, you will lead a team responsible for understanding customer demand for installs and upgrades and leading all supply planning for internal compute system builds, press sub-assemblies, press builds, and third-party hardware solutions. This includes guiding and influencing build strategies, loading ERP demand, partnering with Procurement on order placement to meet leadtime, and managing inventory levels to meet business objectives.

The preferred candidate will have direct team leadership experience, be knowledgeable of short term and long-term planning processes, have experience with ERP systems (S4 HANA preferred,) and ideally understand the unique nature of low volume, industrial equipment. Additional experience in financial inventory management, developing standard processes, driving system improvements, and leading cross-functional teams to meet and improve business performance and efficiency is desired.

Responsibilities

  • Manage a team of individual contributors, including regular and contract employees, to manage the demand to supply planning, build scheduling support, and inventory movement and reporting
  • Manage team to ensure core processes are defined, documented, and followed
  • Lead efforts to assess current tools and performance and drive efforts to enhance and improve capabilities where required
  • Provide direct and on-going team leadership and management including hiring, setting objectives and monitoring progress, completing annual performance reviews, coaching, and career development
  • Consult with business leaders to guide and influence strategic decision-making
  • Communicates updates to stakeholders on metrics, process, or other topics impacting business performance
  • Participates as an active member of the section staff and contribute to the section and organization activities

    Knowledge and Skills
    • Advanced understanding of supply chain, with an emphasis in demand and supply planning
    • Business process development, including tool development and enhancement
    • Strong leadership skills, including coaching, team building, conflict resolution and working with complex, international or cross-functional teams
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, and capability developing documents, presentations, spreadsheets, and other tools
    • Strength in translating data into information to drive improvements and influence organizational actions
    • Ability to promote cooperation inside and outside the team
    • Advanced business acumen and technical knowledge of business planning and inventory management
    • Strong attention to detail with demonstrated ability to monitor multiple open items and drive actions to completion

      Education and Experience Required
      • First level university degree or equivalent experience; may have advanced university degree
      • Typically 8+ years of experience in a supply chain or related function
      • Typically 0-2 years of people management experience.
