Samaritan is required.JOB SUMMARY/PURPOSEThe Registered Nurse (RN)
is accountable for utilizing the nursing process to provide safe,
age-appropriate, direct and indirect patient care, while practicing
within the scope of practice of the Oregon State Board of
Nursing.DEPARTMENT DESCRIPTIONThe Intensive Care Unit provides
direct care or influences care for acutely/critically ill patients
who are at high risk for actual or potential life-threatening
health problems. The ICU provides care through advanced knowledge
and experience in a setting that provides intensive monitoring,
assessments, and
interventions.EXPERIENCE/EDUCATION/QUALIFICATIONSCurrent
unencumbered Oregon RN license required.Healthcare Provider Level
BLS required.GSR ICU-CCU:ACLS, PALS and TNCC required within six
(6) months of hire. ENPC will be accepted in lieu of PALS until
January 1st, 2025.Previous ICU experience preferred, will train
qualified RN with other Critical Care experience.Verification of
high school diploma or equivalent required due to the College of
American Pathologists (CAP) requirements for moderate complexity
testing.KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIESSocial Perceptiveness: Ability to
work with a diverse population from pediatrics to geriatrics. Basic
understanding of age-related differences in caring for and/or
communicating with patients and caregivers. Possess personal
sensitivity to the needs and experiences of others and a

respond quickly and appropriately to situations that may arise with
high risk or diverse patient populations. Ability to adjust actions

pending issues. Ability to perform multiple tasks simultaneously
