Legacy Mount Hood features sophisticated imaging equipment, a modern ICU, advanced surgery including 2 Da Vinci Robots with the busiest Robotic General Surgeon in the state of Oregon. Legacy Mount Hood is backed by a staff who enjoy a family-like atmosphere. Mount Hood Medical Center has 5 operating rooms; average of 12-15 cases/day.ResponsibilitiesResponsible for patient care within an assigned department/unit and participates as a member of the health care team in cooperation with and under the direction of the clinical manager or designee as defined by the relevant Standards and Scope of Practice for the Registered Nurse. The RN Staff Nurse assesses, analyzes, plans, implements and evaluates patient care following established patient care standards for Legacy Health System including those for patient assessment and transfer.QualificationsEducation:-- As required by licensure.-- BSN or degree in progress strongly preferred. BSN may be required for specific assignments; experienced RNs without a BSN may be hired based on clinical experience with approval of the site CNO.--Experience: One-year registered nursing experience or completion of either the Legacy Health RN Residency program or a nursing program that is equivalent in content, curriculum and duration.-- Additional clinical experience requirements may vary dependent upon the specific department in which the position is utilized.--This opening for the Operating Room is designed for RN's with a minimum of one year of RN experience who have a strong desire to work in the OR.-- Transition training into the OR setting will take at least 6-9 months and will include successful completion of the 16 day AORN periop 101 course, completed over the first 9 weeks. Orientation includes class time and didactic learning along with precepted shifts in the ORs to apply learning in the practice setting. ----Must be available to meet the 30-minute call requirement.-- Call schedule: 6 weekday call shifts and 6 weekend call shifts per quarter.--Knowledge/Skills:-- Demonstrated ability of positive interpersonal and communication skills with colleagues, patients, families, physicians and the community.-- Keyboard skills and ability to navigate electronic systems applicable to job functions.--LEGACY'S VALUES IN ACTION:Follows guidelines set forth in Legacy's Values in Action.Equal opportunity emoployer/vets/disabled.Compensation details: 50.57-75.55 Hourly WagePI78b739b3ed91-25660-37489880
