clinical expert, the Executive Strategic Account Manager (SAM) -
Oncology role is responsible for developing and maintaining deep
healthcare and marketplace expertise with a focus on Oncology
across multiple customer segments (e.g., Healthcare Organization,
Organized Medical Groups, Integrated Health Systems, Alternative
Sites of Care, Independent Standalone Practices/Hospitals),
targeted accounts and on-demand in other accounts within
specifically assigned geographies. Responsibilities Serving as a
clinical expert in Oncology, our products, and their initiation and
adherence requirements to support clinical decisions. Collaborating
with key Lilly business partners, the Oncology Senior/Executive
Strategic Account Manager will strategically manage assigned
accounts. Additionally, the Oncology Senior/Executive Strategic
Account Manager will engage directly with system stakeholders
(e.g., executive teams, department/service line heads, procurement,
operations, etc.) to understand their challenges, needs, and
opportunities. By aligning expectations across customer segments,
this individual will help convey how Lilly brands and above brand
resources can meet the healthcare needs of stakeholders and their
members, ultimately advancing OBU’s vision and purpose at a local
level. Key Objectives/Deliverables Ecosystem Readiness : Serving as
a clinical expert in Oncology, our products, and their initiation
and adherence requirements to support clinical decisions. Pulling
through SAM strategy alignment with Directors of Strategic Accounts
(DSAs) to support Population Based Decision Makers (PBDMs) vision
with satellite accounts and other stakeholders. Developing and
executing a Strategic Account Management (SAM) strategy for
priority accounts at Health Care Professional (HCP) or site of care
level. Coordinating SAM strategy with Team Lilly overlaps and
leveraging SAM skills to execute brand strategies. Partnering
appropriately and effectively with medical/outcomes colleagues.
Establishing proficiency in health care organizations, including
understanding provider delivery models, processes, and procedures
influencing access to Lilly products. Maintaining a deep
understanding of patient, product, and financial flow through
prioritized health care organization (HCO) accounts. Identifying
customer-focused initiatives to enhance Lilly’s brand equity in
partnership with key customers across segments. Driving awareness
and understanding of appropriate product use in future clinical
care/diagnostic needs, including pre-approval information
exchanges. Discussing clinical outcomes at a population health
level to shape and optimize care pathways. Engaging in
Oncology-specific initiatives to drive better patient outcomes at
scale (e.g., optimizing transitions of care, EHR integration).
Identifying opportunities for product and disease state education
for prescribers and their support staff. Access and Availability :
Ensuring operational readiness (e.g., billing and coding guides,
ordering information) for product launch. Advocating on behalf of
patients as a clinical expert. Conducting analyses on product and
market trends, including patient flow and continuum of care.
Driving demand realization (awareness of Lilly product, formulary
coverage within systems and for relevant payers and/or GPOs).
Supporting access to Lilly products in health care organizations
with limited access and accessible accounts with high volume or
potential with a specific focus on certain prioritized accounts.
“Increasing the lead” attitude to help more patients more quickly.
Implementing strategic initiatives directed by business unit and
brand strategy. Serves as a promotional, account management role
compliantly supporting post-treatment decisions (i.e., initiation,
adherence) and needs-based consulting. Above-Brand Collaboration :
Demonstrating essential traits including a) professionalism, b) the
ability to build trusting relationships, c) the ability to
communicate in a compelling manner, d) commitment to Oncology
expertise, and e) active learning. Ensuring all actions align 100%
with company compliance policies and procedures, including all
legal and ethical guidelines. Displaying ability to facilitate
cross-functional alignment across the enterprise (e.g., with LVA,
sales organization, payer team). Establishing key relationships
with a broad range of customers at prioritized accounts. Removing
barriers to delivering timely, exceptional customer experiences.
Participating in appropriate state and/or local trade organizations
to ensure Lilly’s presence and represent its interests. Identifying
opportunities to drive improved patient outcomes in a healthcare
ecosystem. Maximizing state of the art environmental awareness for
business impact. Leveraging an enterprise-ownership mindset.
Optimizing strategic collaborations to shape patient-focused,
innovative solutions. Championing initiatives that drive meaningful
advances in the consumer experience. Utilizing Lilly field tools
and technology. Basic Requirements Bachelor’s Degree Valid driver’s
license and acceptable driving record. Qualified applicants must be
authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis. Lilly

one of the following qualifications: Previous Account Management
experience is preferred Previous Oncology experience (e.g., in
Sales) is preferred Broad knowledge of the healthcare delivery
landscape Experience and working knowledge of competitive
interventions in the integrated healthcare marketplace Demonstrated
learning agility, critical thinking, and negotiation skills
Demonstrated leadership and relationship building including
cross-functional teamwork skills and the ability to influence
Strong verbal and written communication and group presentation
skills Additional Information Some overnight travel will be
required (25% to 50%); evening commitments possible Ability to work
some weekends at medical meetings Direct access to a major airport

on a candidate’s education, experience, skills, and geographic
location. The anticipated wage for this position is $132,750 -
$215,600 Full-time equivalent employees also will be eligible for a
company bonus (depending, in part, on company and individual
