The Medical Assistant- Bilingual position will include the
following: rooming patients, vital signs, point of care testing,
collecting and packaging lab specimens, phlebotomy, vaccine
administration, documenting and ordering labs in EMR, drug
assistance applications, prior authorization applications and
supporting provider with procedures. About the Division: At Lane

Lane County provide affordable primary care for the whole family –
infants, children, adolescents, adults, and seniors – as well as
integrated behavioral health, alternative services such as
acupuncture, and preventative dental services. At Community Health
Centers, we focus on integrated care that values the whole person.
Our services encompass not only treatment and prevention of
illness, but also health education and behavioral health services.
At Lane County Community Health Centers we have adopted a model of
primary care called Patient Centered Medical Home. Our services are
organized around care teams who work collaboratively to support our
patients. Our integrated care teams include primary care providers,
nurses, medical assistants, patient care coordinators and
behavioral health specialists. This model of primary care
prioritizes the patient, who has increased access to other services
beyond general medical care at our clinics. Our care teams also
help patients reach their optimal health status by addressing
social determinants of health barriers to care such as
transportation, food insecurity, or housing. About the Location The
South Lane Clinic will offer medical, dental, and behavioral health
care to the vibrant community of Cottage Grove, Oregon and
surrounding areas. In partnership with Lane Community College, the
clinic will provide training for local students interested in
healthcare careers providing a collaborative approach to grow the
healthcare workforce. The South Lane Clinic is established as a
Rural Health Clinic (RHC). *While this position is posted for a
primary location it requires the flexibility to float to other
clinics as needed for coverage, training, and support. Please note

Corps Schedule : Monday - Friday; 8:00am - 5:00pm *This is an
AFSCME represented position* Medical Assistant 1 Training &
Experience: Graduation from high school or equivalent; and
graduation from an accredited Medical Assistant program.
Certification able to be obtained within sixty (60) days of hire.
No Medical Assistant experience is necessary. Medical Assistant 2
Training & Experience: Graduation from high school or equivalent;
and Graduation from an accredited Medical Assistant program or
equivalent job experience. Certification is required at the time of
hire. One year of Medical Assistant experience. Or any combination
of experience and training that provides the required knowledge and
abilities is qualifying. Special Requirements: Credentialing:

nationally recognized certification program Current BLS/CPR Diploma
of accredited MA program Social Security Number Valid Photo ID
Testing Requirements Successful hire will be contingent upon taking
a bilingual test to demonstrate proficiency in both English &
Spanish Notes : This position is subject to a full criminal
offender information record check. If fingerprinting is required,
the fee is paid for by the successful candidate and the expense is
non-reimbursable. Offers of employment are contingent upon
consenting to and successfully passing a drug screening test;
