Job Description:
Job Title: Interventional Radiology Technologist Profession:

years of experience in the operation of radiologic equipment or an
equivalent combination of specialized training and experience.
License: Valid State License preferred Certifications: BLS/ACLS
Must-Have: Proven radiologic technologist knowledge, skills, and
abilities. Epic experience required. Description: The
Interventional Radiology Technologist functions as an integral
member of the team approach to patient care. In collaboration with
physicians and nurses, the technologist strives to provide
high-quality care to every patient. Daily assignments vary due to
the range of procedures that may be completed, from central line
placements to embolizations and strokes. The patient population
varies from neonates to geriatrics, adding unique layers to the
care provided. This position rotates between dual locations within
the department and has call requirements. The technologist provides
direct patient care using medical imaging techniques to assist with
diagnosis and/or treatment. They provide assistance with
radiographic procedures to demonstrate vascular and non-vascular
structures for interpretation and/or therapeutic intervention. The
role involves delivering appropriate patient care and recognizing
patient conditions essential for successful procedure completion.
Ensuring radiation safety for all patients and team members
involved in the procedure is a critical responsibility.
