Job Description:
Job Title: Post Anesthesia Care Unit Nurse Profession: Nursing
Specialty: PACU Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Primarily 0800-1630, with
flexible start times and rotating weekends Hours per Shift: 8 hours
Experience: Minimum of 1 year required License: Current
unencumbered Oregon RN license required Certifications: Healthcare
Provider Level BLS required. AHA ACLS and PALS required. PALS
preferred. Must-Have: PACU or critical care experience required.
Rotational call is required for 1 weekend (Friday, Saturday,
Sunday) and 3 weekdays per month. This position will involve PACU,
admitting, and phase 2 discharges. Description: The PACU is a
critical care unit where the patient's vital signs are closely
observed. Pain management begins in this unit. Fluids are
administered as necessary. Nursing staff are skilled in recognizing
and managing problems in patients after receiving anesthesia.
