Description Senior Respiratory Care Practitioner at Providence
Portland Medical Center Portland. This posting represents On-Call,

catalog up to program funding cap. Paid Time Off – Benefit eligible
caregivers receive up to 25 days per year . Retirement – The
Providence retirement program consists of employer match and
discretionary contributions that work together with your pre-tax
(and/orRoth aftertax) contributions to help you save for
retirement. Lyra Caregiver Assistance program - Up to 25 counseling
or coaching sessions per eligible member per year. The Senior
Respiratory Therapist is expected to demonstrate a comprehensive
understanding of contemporary Respiratory Therapy principles. The
Senior Respiratory Therapist should be a solid performer who is
fully competent in all aspects of his/her job description. The
Senior Respiratory Therapist possesses all of the core skills of an
associate level Respiratory Therapist. He/she is expected to
perform most job duties independently and in accordance with
established departmental and hospital policies and procedures.
He/she will collaborate with physicians and nurses in planning and
implementing the patient plan of care. Completion of the department
orientation program as well as unit-specific orientation is
mandatory. This individual assists the physician with the delivery
and direction of respiratory therapy. Providence caregivers are not

them. Required Qualifications: - Associate's Degree in Respiratory
Therapy or equivalent educ/experience - Oregon Respiratory Care
Practitioner License upon hire - National Provider BLS - American
Heart Association upon hire - National Provider ACLS - American
Heart Association upon hire - National Provider PALS - American
Heart Association within 90 days of hire - National Provider NRP -
American Academy of Pediatrics within 90 days of hire - AARC
preceptor certification within 6 months (180 days) of hire - 3
years of Respiratory Therapist experience in acute care setting - 1
year of experience in Birth Center/Labor and Delivery Preferred
Qualifications: - Bachelor's Degree in AMA accredited school of
