Job Description Overview Adventist Health Columbia Gorge is
seeking a full time Medical Oncologist to join our outstanding
cancer care team at Celilo Cancer Center in The Dalles, Oregon.
This is a unique opportunity to join a community-based health
system that provides exceptional clinical care in an environment
that promotes healing, health and wellness. The Celilo Cancer
Center at Adventist Health Columbia Gorge in collaboration with
OHSU Knight Cancer Institute, provides full-spectrum cancer care,
including expertise in medical oncology, radiation oncology,
radiology, pathology, breast and reconstructive surgery.
Multi-disciplinary tumor board meeting twice a month, while earning
CME. Celilo Cancer Center offers our patients Reiki, a healing
garden, and a free wig/hat program. We have a robust on-site nurse
navigation program for breast cancer and oral chemotherapy, and we
are proud to have chemotherapy nurses who maintain their specialty
oncology nursing certification. We serve our community by
participating in annual cancer screening and outreach events.
Located 85 miles east of Portland in the majestic Columbia River
Gorge, The Dalles features old-growth forests, rushing waterfalls,
and year-round access to outdoor recreation, including downhill and
cross-country skiing, world-class water sports, and miles of hiking
and mountain biking trails. The area boasts award-winning wineries,

Opportunity for candidate to become community-based faculty with
OHSU Knight Cancer Institute. Giving access to library privileges
and faculty development resources. Responsibilities The Physician
provides clinical services within the scope of practice of his/her
specialty and in alignment with the Adventist Health mission;
adheres to all evaluation, treatment, procedure and mediation
guidelines as directed by clinical and department policies and
state or federal law; conducts self-in a professional manner,
strictly following confidentiality policies and working
cooperatively and supportively with other staff; regularly
evaluates staff and provider performance, providing constructive
feedback and realistic expectations. The physician must demonstrate
the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to
the age of the patient/client served in the clinic, department or
appropriate assignment. Based on this; knowledge, he/she provides
service according to the identified age specific needs.
Qualifications We are looking for: - Board Certified (or
Board-Eligible) Physician with a Residency and Fellowship in
Medical Oncology and/or Hematology. - MD or DO with Oregon state
licensure. - Knowledgeable with electronic medical records system.
- Great communication and interpersonal skills. - Enjoys working
