Job Description Locums | OB/GYN | 24-Hour Call Only | Hood River, ORWhy This Role - Community hospital setting with collaborative FM OB team - 24-hour beeper call (offsite within 15 minutes) - Flexible weekend block scheduling - Ongoing need (up to 8 shifts/month) - Defined delivery volume and manageable acuity Assignment Details - Start: May 1, 2026 - Ongoing coverage - Call Only – 24-hour shifts - Offsite call (must be within 15 minutes) - EMR: Epic - Looking for 1 provider for consistent monthly coverage - Target: up to 8 call shifts per month (ideally 2 weekends) - Example block options: - Thursday 7am – Monday 7am - Friday 7am – Tuesday 7amHigh-Priority Dates - June 19–21 - June 26–28 - July 31 – August 2 Clinical Details - 350 deliveries annually (OBGYN group delivers ~50%) - 4 labor rooms - 4 postpartum rooms - Dedicated OR in L&D unit - No NICU - No VBACs - No planned deliveries <35 weeks - One OBGYN on call at a time - Covers: - Unassigned OB call - Inpatient OB and GYN ED call - After-hours clinic call - C-section backup for Family Medicine OB physicians - FM OBs and FM OB residents assist with C-sections - 15-minute response time for stat C-sections - OR crew and anesthesia share same response time Required Skills - Low and high-risk pregnancy management - FHR interpretation (NST/CST/FSE) - Level I OB ultrasound required (Level II preferred) - Vaginal deliveries (including low forceps) - Decision-making for C-sections - Complicated deliveries (breech, multiples, abruptions) - Repair of 3rd & 4th degree lacerations - Open and laparoscopic gynecologic procedures - Operative/major gynecologic surgery Requirements - Board Certified OB/GYN - Active Oregon license - NRP - BLS - Resident supervision required Compensation - Rate Caps: $250/hr, $2,600 24-hr Call (inc 3 gratis hrs), $250/hr Call-back hourly - Malpractice provided - Travel & lodging reimbursed
