Job Description:

Coverage Needed

• Start Date: July 9
• End Date: Ongoing
• Call Schedule: 24-hour call and STEMI call, 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 a.m.
• Open Dates:
  • July 9-12 (potential extension to July 13-14)
  • August 10-17
  • September dates pending
  • Orientation day prior to start or morning of

Clinical Details

• EMR System: Meditech with patient keeper interface
• Practice Settings: Inpatient/Outpatient
• Patients Per Day: 14-16 clinic patients per day with 30-minute appointment slots
• Rounding Patients: Locum will follow their own patients until sign-off
• Support Staff: Fully staffed office; 1 MA per provider in clinic; 3 general cardiologists, 2 interventional cardiologists, and 1 NP
• Anesthesia Support: as needed on inpatient
• Hospitalists services handles all admits
• Required Procedures: Interventional procedures including PCI, diagnostic caths, right/left heart caths, echo and stress interpretation, STEMI coverage and PCI for diagnostic caths
• Call: STEMI call coverage; average of 5 consults on general call and 2-6 coronary angiograms per day
• Patient Mix: 18 yrs. and older

Requirements

• Board: Board Certified or Truly Board Eligible in Interventional Cardiology
• Certifications: BLS, ACLS, DEA
• Licenses: Oregon license
• Fellowship/Residency: in Interventional Cardiology
• Malpractice: Clean malpractice history for emergency privileges
• NPDB: Self-query NPDB report dated within 30 days of presentation
