Community Engagement Coordinator

Lumina Hospice and Palliative Care is seeking a full-time Community Engagement Coordinator. As the Community Engagement Coordinator, youll support a wide range of marketing, outreach and donor relations activities. Working with the Director of Development, Marketing & Outreach youll be responsible for promoting Luminas services and community programs. In this role youll be part of an organization whose mission is to provide compassionate, care and support for individuals, families and caregivers facing serious illness of end of life. The Community Engagement Coordinator must but be a creative spirit, with a compassionate heart who is committed to serving the needs of the seriously ill and their families; they must be enthusiastic, self-motivated, detail-orientated and have an ability to build strong relationships across organizational departments and outside partners.

Your responsibilities will be to:

* Develop communication tools to support events, programs, and general outreach including mailings, email marketing, e-newsletters, online and social media promotion, collateral, and other marketing tools. * In collaboration with Program Coordinators, maintain updated outreach calendar and engage critical stakeholders (Lumina leadership, board members, staff, volunteers, community partners) in Luminas programming and activities. * Manage database of donors and provide excellent donor stewardship by ensuring that donors are properly and promptly thanked, donor inquiries receive timely responses and internal reports are accurate and up to date. * Develop, edit and distribute staff/volunteer newsletters, and update Lumina website regularly with news, events, and other content. * Working with the Director of Development, Marketing & Outreach, support Lumina community outreach by cultivating relationships with community partners and identify opportunities for Lumina workshops, seminars, and other programming. * Assist with planning and executing fundraising and stewardship events on and off site and as needed, represent Lumina at community, civic and other external events, and may present on Luminas behalf as requested. * Assist in developing, executing, and tracking all marketing and advertising plans. * Other duties as assigned which may include participating on committees, QAPI activities, and performing assignments as directed by Director of Development, Marketing & Outreach or the Executive Director for Lumina.

Qualifications:

* Minimum of two years experience performing marketing-related activities such as developing promotional materials including social media campaigns, collateral, email marketing and/or other marketing materials and coordinating events. * Experience in community outreach, including planning and executing events, and working with community partners, vendors, and outside agencies. * Bachelors degree in business, communications or marketing preferred, or equivalent work experience. * Strong organization skills, time management and attention to detail. * Experience working independently with minimal supervision while delivering effective and on-time results on multiple projects with varying timelines. * Excellent oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills. * Intermediate skills in basic software and marketing platforms such as Word, Excel, Publisher, PowerPoint, database or donor management software, WordPress and email marketing. * Outreach experience to rural and historically underserved communities desirable. * Some graphic design and Adobe Creative Suite experience desirable. * Requires a valid Oregon drivers license, driving record that meets Lumina insurance requirements, and full access to an insured vehicle for work with expectation of moderate driving. * Schedule: Usual hours fall within the 8:00-5:00, Monday through Friday. * Preferred applicant will be asked to pass a background check and drug screen following a job offer. New employees are required to complete tuberculosis screening and provide proof of hepatitis B vaccination or signed declination.
