Location: Corvallis

Job Description:

Be at the center of it all, working with local colleagues you'll get to know as friends, rather than just voices on over the phone. Oregon State Credit Union, one of the most reputable credit unions in the Northwest, is proud that our Real Estate team is right here in Corvallis where, together, we can make home ownership dreams come true for our members!

As our Real Estate Loan Transaction Coordinator in the Corvallis Financial Center, you'll be the pivot point of making those loans happen by handling all long-term mortgage, land, and home equity loan applications. You'll support our Mortgage Loan Officers by preparing the complete loan package, validating all incoming items, and carry the responsibility of generating disclosures that ensure regulatory compliance. You'll also provide excellent service to our members by locking loan rates when requested, explaining the loan process, and working with them to obtain the necessary documents. You'll track the loans as they move through the process, coordinate with title companies, order appraisals, and act as back up to the Closer/Funder. It is a job that demands outstanding communication skills, meticulous attention to detail, and the ability to influence others to action.

This position is considered a Mortgage Loan Originator (MLO) as defined by the Secure and Fair Enforcement for Mortgage Licensing Act of 2008 (SAFE Act). The law requires MLO to be registered in the Nationwide Mortgage Licensing System and Registry (NMLSR).

Since it began in 1954, Oregon State Credit Union has been a member-owned, not-for-profit financial services institution. We exist for the benefit of our member-owners and not to profit from them. That's what makes us different from banks and how we're able to create financial solutions that make lives better. The service and care you'll provide to our members by ensuring the regulatory compliance of their home loan applications is critical to their success at achieving the dream of home ownership.

Note: Interviews may be via phone or Zoom. Training and work will be on-site utilizing COVID protection guidelines.

What you'll need to be successful:

  • Experience with secondary market investor underwriting guidelines, preferred
  • Extensive customer service/public contact experience
  • Proficiency in Word and Excel
