Job DescriptionIf you should have been a lawyer, you might just find your calling in this vital back-office role at Oregon State Credit Union! This important role works with the court system to assist members with timely repayment of their loans.

As a Member Relations Specialist -Loans in our Corvallis Operations Center, you will use your strong documentation skills and outstanding attention to detail to respond to and prepare bankruptcy, garnishments and small claims actions to protect the credit union. You'll represent the credit union's interest in subpoenas, repossessions and collections by executing foreclosures, writs and other court documents. And you'll use your sound judgement to recommend the closure of loan accounts and ensure that all laws are followed when securing collateral. Although you'll constantly deal with documents, this is not a paper-pusher job; this is a challenging, fast paced position requiring the ability to make sound decisions while maintaining a delicate balance of tact and doggedness.   • High school diploma or GED
  • Proficiency with Word and Excel
  • Excellent customer service and telephone skills
  • Strong time management and problem solving skills
  • Knowledge of collection and bankruptcy laws, Fair Credit Reporting Act and other lending laws preferred, knowledge of real estate secondary markets strongly preferred
