Job SummaryThis position provides technical assistance, issue
resolution, and basic training to users on a variety of computer
and telecommunication hardware and software systems. The person in
this position will provide initial customer service contact to
users/customers via multiple methods, including phone and email.
This position cooperates with IT Specialists on the IT Service Desk
to provide maintenance, administration, and support for employee
computer workstations and specialized enterprise systems.
This is a limited-duration, benefited, full-time position not to
exceed 2 years from date of assignment.

- Annual salary range of:
- $38,879 - $51,014
- This position guarantees two salary raises within your first
year as long as your performance is in good standing!
- The salary range for this position is scheduled to increase on
7/1/22 as part of the AFSCME union contract. This also means all
AFSCME represented employees will receive a 3% increase to their
salary on July 1st of this year (this would be a third salary raise
within your first year!)

Minimum Qualifications
The following minimum qualifications are required for this
position:
- High School Diploma or GED; AND
- 2 years of experience in Information Technology, Computer
Science, Business Information Systems, Systems & Network
Administration or a closely related field.An equivalent combination
of education and experience may be accepted. Please note candidates
must have at least 6 months of actual work experience to be
considered as equivalent.

Special Requirements:
- Valid Oregon driver's license.
- Hours are 8am-5pm M-F. IT Specialists rotate IT 24-hour On-Call
duties weekly, Tuesday to Tuesday.
- Incumbents are expected to gain the necessary knowledge to
obtain and maintain knowledge and certifications that relate to
specific duties.
- Incumbents interact with personally identifiable information
(PII), criminal justice information (CJI), payment card information
(PCI) and protected health information (PHI), therefore they will
be required to pass a background investigation and complete
mandated training and/or certifications.The Ideal Candidate:
- Great customer service skills - this position interacts with
customers frequently (on the phone, in person, and via email).
- Is a great team player who is able to prioritize competing
priorities.
- Can make independent decisions while staying consistent with
operational procedures.
- Has experience with Microsoft Desktop OS, Office Suite, Quest
KACE, Cisco Call Manager, Cisco Jabber, Netmotion Mobility, and
