Come grow with us! General Purpose and Scope of Position:Wilbur-Ellis is seeking a manufacturing team member to join our Manufacturing facility in Halsey, OR. This role will efficiently work as a team to assemble crop protection products. We are looking for someone with a positive attitude who enjoys working with a diverse customer base in a fast-paced setting. Skills & AbilitiesAbility to repetitively bend and lift boxes and bags to 70 lbs. (at a rate of up to 3 units per minute for 2 hours) while working in a non-climate-controlled areaSafety first attitudeTeam Player with a positive outlook, willing to work multiple shifts and willingness to work overtime hours during busy seasonsBasic math understanding and manipulationAble to distinguish colorsMust be able to write Job Safety Analysis (JSA)Ability to run the Bagger/Heat Sealer efficiently, if applicable to the location.Always maintain a professional appearance and positive attitude.Must be punctual and on time for workAbility to work in an environment that has a moderately loud noise levelSafely operate material handling equipment as required Training RequiredKnowledge and/or experience with agricultural operations (preferred)High School Diploma or equivalentAll Position Specific SOP Training Requirements, specific to the locationFully successfully performing and demonstrating tasks and skills required of a Plant Operator II or equivalent prior experience Certifications RequiredAll required WE EHSS CertificationsMust be deemed competent by a thoroughly trained operatorMust have Valid Forklift Certification OSHA Compliant and Validate every 3 YearsPersonal Protective Equipment Certification General Daily Job ScopeBatch Plant OperationProperly interpret, and follow manufacturing blend sheetsAccurately and efficiently mix batches to ensure qualityProperly label all containersIf applicable to the location, stack Pallets efficiently to reduce torn bags and leaning pallets. Provides space for continued ProductionWork with the Plant Lead/Supervisor/Manager on awareness and management of any contaminated loadsNeatness and attention to detail on all paperwork, and seeing that it all returns to the office for processingDaily Maintenance and Cleanliness of all plant equipment and plantResponsible for producing sulfur from bulk storage safely and efficiently in order to optimize production, if applicable to the locationIdentify raw materials correctlyComplete quality control measures on every batchRecord all batch informationContact and work alongside the chemist on any off-spec blendsCoordinate with purchasing agent all ordering and scheduling of incoming bulk fertilizer deliveries Compensation and Benefits:In compliance with all states and cities that require transparency of pay, the base compensation for this position ranges from $20.58 - $26.09 per hour.
