_*Compensation & Benefits Specialist *_Our client, a local
nonprofit, is seeking an experienced Compensation and Benefits
Specialist to join their team in a temp-to-hire basis. This
individual will support the Total Rewards function with a focus on
compensation structure, benefit administration, and union-related
matters. Multilingual candidates and those with experience in union

*Contract-to-Hire*Duration of Contract: *3 6 months / potential to
convert to FTE based on performance and organizational
alignment*Pay: *$38.00 46.00 hourly, DOE*Work Model: *Hybrid 3-days
onsite - Portland, Oregon*Responsibilities of the Compensation &
Benefits Specialist: ** Administer and maintain compensation
programs, ensuring alignment with internal policies and market
competitiveness.* Conduct job evaluations and salary benchmarking
using various compensation tools.* Manage benefits administration,
including open enrollment, broker/vendor coordination, and employee
support.* Oversee retirement plan administration (403(b) and
401(k)) and maintain compliance with plan requirements.* Support
union-related compensation and benefits processes, including
interpretation of collective bargaining agreements.* Collaborate on
high-impact projects such as compensation structure refreshes and
benefits renewals.* Provide data analysis, reporting, and insights
to support Total Rewards strategies.* Maintain accurate employee
data in HRIS; experience with UKG Ready is a plus.* Assist with
general HR support as needed within the Total Rewards
team.*Qualifications of the Compensation & Benefits Specialist: **
3+ years of experience in both compensation and benefits
administration.* Proven experience working in a unionized
environment.* Knowledge of Kaiser medical benefits and retirement
plan compliance.* Familiarity with compensation benchmarking tools
and HRIS systems (UKG Ready preferred).* Excellent analytical,
communication, and interpersonal skills.* Multilingual skills
preferred.* Ability to work in a hybrid environment, with 3
