$80,000 - $95,000 / yr DOE** Pre-employment background check and
drug screen required.Maintenance Supervisor Position Summary:
Position has the responsibility to coordinate and execute
maintenance of the Brownsville Plant.Maintenance Supervisor Primary
Objectives:The Maintenance Manager ensures safety of Lignetics and
contract personnel through use of best safety practices (LOTO,
confined space, electrical safety, Safety Concern Forms, incident
investigation, etc.)Responsible for the maintenance operations
concerned with the installation and repair of all machinery and
other mechanical and electrical equipment used in the production
operation.Maintain a preventative maintenance program to ensure
safe working conditions, minimal production downtime, and equipment
sustainabilityMaintain inventories and order parts, as needed, for
equipmentConsult, obtain bids, and work closely with outside
contractorsSupervise and train Millwrights and LME apprentice to
troubleshoot all equipment on plant siteManage and participate in
the rebuild or repair of pellet mills, conveyors, screws,
gearboxes, chains using hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical
troubleshooting skillsPrioritize and delegate maintenance schedules
and activities, track production down time, schedule maintenance
days and weekend projectsDrive improvement in all maintenance
systems by learning and supporting the Maintenance Excellence
programProvide regular reports to Plant Manager regarding safety
and maintenance concerns and projectsParticipate in employee
performance management, hiring, disciplinary and termination
meetingsMaintenance Supervisor Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:High
School diploma or GED requiredLimited Maintenance Electrician (LME)
card preferredJourneyman Millwright card preferredMinimum 5 years
of experience in journeyman level millwright or equivalent
experiencePLC knowledge a plusBasic understanding of electrical
conceptsProject planning & implementation, PM program experience,
and supervisory experience preferredExperience
developing/implementation/managing PM programs preferredBasic
knowledge of computers (Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook)Working
Conditions: The Maintenance Manager will spend time in the plant
working on equipment and/or directing his team to complete projects
or repairs. In addition, office time will be used for planning,
scheduling, and reporting.Will need to lift up to 50 pounds on
occasionWill need to walk, climb ladders, stoop, kneel, or crouch
to inspect site conditions as neededMust be able to wear personal
protective equipment including eye and ear protection, respiratory
protective gear, fall prevention harnesses, and other gear that may
be required for access to certain areas of a Lignetics facilityGood
reasoning and problem-solving skillsWill be exposed to slippery
surfaces, pinch points, trip and fall hazards, and overhead
obstaclesMust be able to work under a variety of weather
