Recruiting and Staffing is proud to partner with Relay Resources in
its search for a Sales & Business Development Manager*_*OVERVIEW OF
SALES & BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT MANAGER *Relay is seeking a Sales and
Business Development Manager with a background in the private
sector commercial business, particularly in supply chain services
such as production, fulfillment, and shipping. This role focuses on
leveraging industry knowledge in the Portland metropolitan area to
build and nurture business partnerships. The ideal candidate
practices customer experience management principles and can
strengthen existing business contract relationships as well as
prospect and close new business.*Job Location:* Portland, OR.
(HYBRID, 3 days/wk. onsite)*Type:* DIRECT HIRE!*Salary: *98K-122K,
DOE + Annual Bonus*ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:**
Emphasize Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to track and measure
progress towards revenue targets, ensuring strategic alignment with
company objectives.* Cultivate strong customer relationships to
maximize retention and satisfaction among existing clientele,
implementing strategies to address their evolving needs and
preferences.* Spearhead initiatives to provide high-level,
high-touch service to new customers, establishing a solid
foundation for enduring partnerships and sustainable growth.*
Analyze market trends and competitor activities to identify
opportunities for expansion and differentiation, informing
strategic decision-making and positioning the client as a leader in
the industry.* Collaborate cross-functionally with internal teams
to optimize processes and workflows, driving operational efficiency
and enhancing overall customer experience.* Represent client at
industry events, conferences, and networking opportunities to
foster relationships, generate leads, and promote brand awareness.*
Provide regular updates and reports to senior management on
business development initiatives, performance metrics, and market
insights to inform strategic planning and decision-making
processes.*EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:** 10+ years of relevant
experience required.* Knowledge of Portland market, highly
preferred.* Understanding and experience in working with line of
business operators to improve their processes to provide higher
profit margins and greater value to the customer.* Demonstrated
experience in building successful business relationships in the
private sector required.* Practical understanding of production,
fulfillment and shipping services required.* Proven track record of
negotiating and closing deals, with a keen understanding of the
commercial services market.* Willingness and ability to travel
within the state of Oregon based on business needs.* PowerBI,
Salesforce and Asana preferred.* Contract management experience
preferred.* Excellent leadership abilities, capable of motivating
and guiding a team towards achieving strategic objectives.*ABOUT
